Most   Sacred  Heart  Parish  is  having  a  Parish  Mission!

Tell Your Friends… Bring Your Neighbors… Mark your Family Calendar!

When: March 10-15th, 2018

Our Parish Mission Theme:

The Main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing!

– Embracing the values and ways of Jesus

A Parish Mission is a special time in the life of a parish community which can invigorate even the best of parishes and its members. Our Parish Mission invites the entire community to gather each night at 7 pm for Mass with an extended homily with further insight into a faith-filled life and a deepening of our bond one to another. These wonderful nights will renew both the parish and each person who attends.

Our Parish Mission will be led by the Vincentian priests (and twin brothers) Fr. Richard and Fr. Robert Gielow. These dynamic speakers will use their down-to-earth wisdom, deep faith, and gift of personal stories to help us ‘Keep the main thing the main thing’. (There will also be events during the day for those who can attend, and more details will follow in the weeks to come).

The Vincentian Mission statement includes these words: “OUR VOCATION IS TO GO NOT INTO ONE PARISH, NOR INTO ONLY ONE DIOCESE, BUT THROUGHOUT THE EARTH. AND TO DO WHAT? TO INFLAME THE HEARTS OF MEN. IT IS NOT ENOUGH FOR ME TO LOVE GOD IF MY NEIGHBOR DOES NOT LOVE HIM AS WELl.” – St. Vincent DePaul

We   hope YOU  will  join  us!

What can I do now to help prepare for our Parish Mission?

Parents Helping Parents during Our Parish Mission

If you would like to attend the Parish Mission without your little ones (ages 1-12y), why not connect with other moms and dads in the same boat.  If everyone takes a turn watching the kiddos, each adult can attend three out of the four nights.

You need not attend all nights to participate. Hours of service: 6:45-8:15pm. To get involved, call organizer Karen Ellis at 314- 398-2956 or email at corncobkaren@yahoo.com.

Divine Savior, transform me into Yourself.

May my hands be Your hands. May my tongue be Your tongue.

Grant that every faculty of my body may serve only to glorify You.

Above all, transform my soul and all its powers,

that my memory , my will and my affections, may be the memory, the will, and the affections of You

I pray You to destroy in me, all that is not of You.

Grant that I may live but in You, and by You, and for You,

and that I may truly say with St. Paul,

“I live now, not I, but Christ lives in me.” Amen.
