MSH-PSR-logoWelcome to Most Sacred Heart Parish School of Religion (P.S.R.)

Every child deserves the best Catholic education possible. For those children who attend public schools, Most Sacred Heart offers the Parish School of Religion (PSR) for children in Grades K-8.

We look forward to serving you as you and your child/ren journey
in your faith. All families are welcome to join PSR.

2017 Events

  • Registration for children who attend public school is occurring now for Most Sacred Heart Parish.  Parish School of Religion is for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.

The curriculum presents the teachings of the Catholic Church in age-appropriate materials. In addition to religious education in the Ten Commandments, Sacraments, Bible, morality, prayer, liturgy and building a personal relationship with God, the PSR classes provide sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in 2nd grade and Confirmation in 8th grade. For more information on the curriculum, feel free to view the publisher’s website, blestarewe.com.

While the faculty and staff strive to teach the faith to our parish children, there are time limitations with PSR. Therefore, home study and parental involvement and encouragement are necessary for the children to learn and grow in their faith.

Class sizes are kept to a maximum of 15 students. Registration for class selection is accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis so early registration is advised. Registration received after September 15 is subject to a late fee.

New families: We welcome all new families to PSR. Please contact Virginia Mattera, Coordinator of Religious Education (CRE), if you have questions. You may call 636-938-9507 or email cre@sacredhearteureka.org. You may register by coming by and getting a paper packet from the PSR office.

Tuition

The Parish subsidizes the PSR budget by an estimated 30%. While no child will be denied a Catholic education because of an inability to pay, every family should do what they can. Special tuition arrangements can be made with the Pastor. Registrations are not accepted until all previous tuition has been resolved. Please talk to us so we may help you.

The tuition rates for the 2017-2018 will be:

One Child: $265.00

Two Children: $480.00

Three or more Children $670.00
