Growing Project Ministry

Mission Statement: A Christian response to world hunger.
Ministry Description: The Growing Project is about raising money through donations and agricultural efforts to teach people in the poorest and most remote parts of the world how to grow their own food. The parish is using the acreage on the south portion of the property to grow hay. In addition, we invite parishioners to donate money for the inputs of the land and additional farmers to donate acreage or whatever they grow/raise (i.e. cows, pumpkins, etc.). This partnership of parishioners’ donations paying for fuel, seed, fertilizer, feed, etc. and farmers donating their time and hard work, enables our monetary donations to grow in such a way that could not be done alone. Our parish also develops a relationship both within our community and with the recipients in the overseas countries.
