Parish Council

A group of Parishioners who serve as advisors to the Pastor. A new council is formed every three years and serves for a term of three years. Discernment for this ministry is held in the fall for terms beginning in January. Members are nominated, discerned by the Pastor, drawn randomly, and serve a three-year term. The work of the Council includes – serve as a sounding board for the Pastor; discern the direction of the parish; review/approve new events for the parish; assist the Pastor in establishing policy for the parish; review/approve functions that also involve people from outside the parish; review finances, marketing and fundraising; approve large expenses. The nomination period for a new council will be announced in the bulletin.
Time: Typically the third Monday of the month for 1-2 hours
